It is safe to say that the Weekly Photo Challenge topic for this week called my name.
ESCAPE means different things for different people. But if you know me — either through this blog or in “real life” — you know that my favorite escape is almost always water-related.
Here are my photos for this week (all taken during a holiday in Puerto Rico):
As always, thank you for visiting. And if you’d like to participate in the challenge, just click here:

I can understand you, that water helps to escape … – something bigger than we are …

Now that’s an escape! Photos like those give off a sense of place that pulls one away from reality for a few brief moments of peaceful relaxation. Ahhhh ….

I love the sea too: I grew up by the sea in Cornwall, and all I need to do is see it to instantly have a smile on my lips… Thanks for visiting my corner of the blogosphere and for the follow: I’ll be doing likewise 😉

You are very welcome! I’m glad I stumbled across your blog! And it is neat that your grew up in Cornwall and have that connection to the sea — it is my mother’s most favorite place in the world and she is always trying to get back home — she’ll be going in 2 weeks time, in fact, and will have a smile on her lips again, too!
Thank you — and I look forward to visiting your blog again! 😉

Ask you mum to say hello to the waves and the gulls from me, then…. lucky girl (*jealous mode off*). I’m off for a read now. I have already established from the photos that your children are gorgeous and you that you are a much more talented cake maker than I am.

You are too kind! I will ask my mum to give the waves your regards… She is actually going back to bury my uncle, her brother, so it’s a sad affair, but I’m hoping she finds some healing and hope in the sea. Thanks so much for reading, commenting, following — and for complimenting my cakes! 😉

One of these days, we’ll be able to see a gorgeous place and just be there the next moment. 🙂 Or so I hope. Lovely photos!
